SPECIALISING IN GARDEN ROUTE & ADDO ELEPHANT NATIONAL PARK TOURS SINCE 2006

Adding a safari to Earthstompers group Garden Route tours

Earthstompers 5- and 6-Day group tours finish near some of the best safari lodges in the Western and Eastern Cape.  Why not add a few nights of safari on a private game reserve to the end of your tour?

Our team can assist with making safari bookings that suit your availability and budget.  We will arrange a transfer from the end of the Earthstompers tour, to your selected safari lodge, for a seamless and stress-free travel experience.

Eastern Cape safaris

The Eastern Cape features diverse landscapes, including rolling hills, rugged mountains, and coastal plains, with rich ecosystems around the Bushman’s River. Private reserves like Lalibela, Kariega, Shamwari, and Amakhala offer immersive wildlife experiences, showcasing animals such as giraffes, zebras, buffalo, various antelope, rhinos, elephants, jackals, lions, hippos, and smaller mammals. Accommodation ranges from rustic lodges (3-star) to superior luxury lodges (5-star).

Garden Route safaris

The Garden Route is renowned for its unique fynbos biome, characterized by a rich variety of shrubs, wildflowers, and low vegetation. It’s an incredible treat to witness wild animals move through the vibrant fynbos. The region features scenic mountain ranges, such as the Outeniqua Mountains, providing dramatic backdrops to the safari experience. The Garden Route receives annual rainfall between 600-1,200 mm, with peaks in late winter and spring. This consistent moisture supports the lush vegetation and diverse ecosystems found in the region. Types of animals you can expect to encounter are zebra, wildebeest, antelope, hippos, giraffe, elephant, lion, buffalo, rhino and many other smaller mammals like meerkats, serval and jackal. All lodges are luxury (5 star).
