With that in mind, we’ve put together some general pricing guidelines for the travel experiences Earthstompers offers. These will give you a sense of what might fall within your budget, and highlight the differences between regions (such as Kruger, the Western & Eastern Cape, or Botswana) as well as between accommodation levels (from comfortable 3-star to ultra-luxury 5-star+).

The figures in our guide are approximations only. Actual prices depend on a variety of factors:

How to Read the Table
Prices are listed per person, per night, sharing (based on two people sharing a room).
Costs include transportation, accommodation, meals, and activities as outlined—but exact inclusions will be specified in your personal quote.
South African products are listed in South African Rand (ZAR).
Products in Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe are listed in US Dollars (USD), which is the standard currency for lodges in those countries.

Beyond the Price Tag
While we’ve used accommodation level as a marker for budget and quality, it’s important to remember that the room itself is only a small part of the experience. Watching the sunset in Namibia, or tracking a pack of wild dogs at dawn—those moments are priceless, no matter the star rating of your lodge.
That said, higher price points usually mean more than just more luxurious accommodation; it often means better service, more favourable locations, extra amenities, more exclusivity (smaller lodges), and special privileges like traversing rights on private reserves.
