Excellent! Top Quality! Stellar Customer Service! Unforgettable memories! My best friend and I travelled to South Africa and did the Earthstompers Private 3 day tour and the Group 6 day Garden Route Tour.
We have traveled to over 100 countries combined and this was one of the best trips EVER! Earthstompers feels like family. They were incredible in their pre-planning and we got the sense that they were a team. Cindy and Henrick were rapid in responding to emails and helped us create an itinerary geared to our interests. Then once we were on both tours, the tour guides were MAGNIFICENT!! We had the pleasure of having Fern on our city tour and Gareth on our Garden Tour. We always felt safe, informed and like we were traveling with friends. We also loved the variety of activities too. Whether it was hiking, sightseeing, wine tasting or whale watching, the variety was wonderful. This is truly one of the top travel companies in the WORLD!
My fantastic experience in South Africa was due to the Earthstompers team from start to finish. Prior to the holiday office staff had extreme patience organising the private Cape Town tour to my requirements and the tour guide, Rochelle, immediately realised that I wanted to pack as much as possible into my few days in Cape Town and more than accommodated that with knowledge and good humour.
The Garden Route Tour was well designed and the tour guide, Christine, made it fun taking into account the needs of each individual in the group. Her amazing photographic skills maximised every potential opportunity to take photos at scenic and iconic spots. She was a constant source of information throughout the tour and was probably the best tour guide that I have come across in of all of my travels encouraging me to face my fears and do the highest bridge bunny jump. Our group of five solo travellers from all walks of life enhanced the experience and we ended up one big family! In Cape Town I stayed at the boutique hotel Derwent House which had such an eclectic environment that there was always something different to look at and all of their staff were so friendly that it was a true home from home. The accommodation on the Garden Route tour was incredible, each unique with affable hosts at each. If I meet anyone who wishes to explore the Cape I will certainly be recommending Earthstompers.
I have travelled extensively across the globe and without doubt this was one the best tours and experiences I have ever had. I travelled with my 14 year old daughter and we have made memories to last a life time The route is perfect!
From the splendour of whale watching to swimming in idyllic pools, hiking in indigenous forests and viewing the abundant wildlife. I can’t gush enough! We made some amazing friends along the way too. Just book this and don’t forget to extend your tour to Kariega you will not regret it. Christine was our guide and you my friend are a legend! Review of: 5-Day Garden Route & Addo Adventure from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth.
What a phenomenal and life-changing experience for our university students and the program directors! The students – all from the United States of America – clearly stated that they will never be the same again.
Nicole went above and beyond to assist us in custom planning the program around our very specific learning outcomes. Our exceptional guides, Roy and Rochelle, embraced our large group of 30 and ensured that a fully immersive experience was had by all. Our Study Abroad was a huge success due to the professional and competent guidance of Earthstompers! We couldn’t have asked for anything better – thank you for bringing the spirit of UBUNTU into our program.
We booked a private tour along the Garden Route with Earthstompers from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth and back. Our guide was Mark, and we cannot praise him highly enough.
He is the friendliest guy you could hope to spend a week with. Incredibly knowledgable about the places we visited along the route. History, geography, the wildlife, food, everything. Our enjoyment of travelling with him derived from his great experience of guiding this route, yet it was clear that he was never bored or jaded. His enthusiasm and own enjoyment of his work shone through. He took us to some fabulous places we wouldn’t have found on our own. In addition he was a super-careful driver, and we felt safe in his hands at every moment.
Thank you, Mark.
It was a rough time that found me at the Earthstompers’ Garden Route/Addo tour in South Africa this past June. I purchased the tour in mid-2020, hoping to have an epic adventure after “this whole covid thing” blew over.
I booked the tour as a very adventurous, active traveler – but became very sick and was no longer any of these things. As the months crept closer to my leave date, I messaged the company in a panic and they graciously let me change my tour to a private one.I was super nervous to be traveling with Wendy at first – I’ve never had a private tour and I’m incredibly awkward. But just being in a van with her is so fun! The minute she commented on the small rainbows off the surf, I knew we were going to have a great trip. I appreciate someone who can find beauty in the world around her – and Wendy is that person. She loves Southern Africa and genuinely wants you to love it too. She was funny and engaging, full of knowledge and very open to me asking a million questions – as well as an excellent dinner companion. But also a great problem solver – as shown when I accidentally got sick from drinking some questionable water (my bad). I was so nervous about all of the “adventure” tasks that I was sure I was no longer able to do – but with her guidance, it was more achievable to climb all the way up the mountain twice. It’s hard to explain how grateful I am for her. Every day of my tour was like traveling with a friend – and I just can’t thank her enough for everything. I know my experience would never be the same – my life wouldn’t be the same. And I just wish that level of kindness on everyone traveling through South Africa.
The 6-day garden route tour with earthstompers is just incredible! It is so meticulously planned and organized that if you search online, you cannot find a better itinerary.
Once the booking was done, they sent us important information including packing list for the tour, which I found extremely useful and it helped us prepare for what to expect. Everything was communicated well in advance and our guide Christine is the best tourist guide you can ask for. She made sure that we experience as many things as we can and take away one of the best memories of our life with us. The tour covers all major attractions on garden route, along with a beautiful scenic drive, variety of activities, cosy accomodations and great meals. I would like to give a specific mention for food, as being vegetarians its difficult to find options and also simple & healthy food while travelling. But this tour blew my mind, as we were eating healthy, homemade and delicious food every single day. Cape town, and especially garden route is one of the most beautiful places on this earth, you feel so close to nature and it refreshes you like anything. Thank you earthstompers for such an amazing wholesome experience! For anyone going for garden route.. please dont think. No one can give you a better experience than earthstompers!
